Every weekend it’s the same story. I see that my last R40 are still inside that empty coffee tin as the kids run around outside with vuvuzelas. It’s time to do what I do every weekend, log into YesPlay using my phone. Nothing complex, just me trying to turn that R40 into a stack of cash.
My Budget Gameplan
I never bet on every match. Instead, I like to divide the matches into three simple categories: Live, Soon and Long Shot. “Live” contains all the matches that are live and lets me see the odds in real time. The “Soon” category contains all the matches that will be played in the next few hours and allows me to take advantage of the odds before they change. Lastly, “Long Shot” contains all the matches that are going to be played further down the line, for example a R10 bet on Stellenbosch to win the cup.
Midfield Numbers
Before doing anything else, I usually quickly check the soccer results. By just glancing at them, I can immediately tell if the Pirates kept clean sheets or whether the Chiefs have been letting in a lot of goals. Next, I open the match tab where I check totals, handicaps, and Both Teams to Score. YesPlay offers over eight hundred markets for big games. However, I try to stick to a few markets that I understand.
Odds change quickly when line-ups land. I always keep the YesPlay tab open, but I also make sure to refresh it every 15 minutes to make sure that the price I’m seeing is still up to date. If I want to do a little bit of extra research before placing a bet, the website’s large collection of soccer betting stats is a great place to start, with detailed information about corners, cards, and even first throw-ins.
Full-Time Cheers
Whether I win or lose, I never gamble too much. A calculated bet, combined with some research and YesPlay’s packed market board always keeps my weekends exciting without the risk of burning through all of my money
